Mirror Mirror On the Wall - 5 Rules To Healthy Reflecting

Greetings Everyone,

(if you enjoy this post  please  spread the word and share it with your friends)

You all know the classic children’s book Snow White and the seven dwarfs and the queen looking in to the mirror and saying mirror mirror on the wall who is the fairest one of all and we all know what this led to.

I probably heard this story hundreds of times( I have a little confession to make I still enjoy  reading  the children books ) but I don’t remember  hearing any moral to the story I was so wrapped up in the excitement of the story.

But the time has come to take responsibility and find meaning in life, and I believe that there is a message hidden in all that happens around us waiting to be discovered and learned.

When looking in to the mirror who you are expecting to see? is it your next door neighbor, or is it your class mate that you always envied their popularity in the school or is it the humble you .

The use of a mirror is reflecting  and is  one of great importance, its purpose is to reflect back to you, your appearance and give you the ability to beautify and better yourself, but like everything in this world, it can be used for good and vice versa let me explain.

There are times that when reflecting about yourself can actual be to your detriment. Here are the following examples,

©       Comparing yourself to other people
©       Extensive self criticitzim
©       Constant reflection

Gazing upon yourself is from the greatest pleasures in the world. There is no one closer to yourself than you alone; there is no one that loves you more than you yourself.

When observing yourself while gazing at your features in the reflection of the mirror, don’t you feel that feeling of love bouncing from your eyes to the mirror and back? Don’t you just enjoy talking to yourself while looking at yourself in the mirror?

To reflect on one self and examine your actions if they are in line with your goals and beliefs, is a great and sanctified attribute and is probably from the first steps you should take in your voyage of life.

As Jim Rohn used to say the first of five pieces of the puzzle in life is having a PHILOSOPHY.
Philosophy In dictionary.com- the rational investigation of the truths and principles of being, knowledge, or conduct.

TO HAVE A PHILOSOPHY, YOU WILL NEED TIME TO THINK, FOCUS AND REFLECT ON THE HAPPENINGS AND ACTIONS OF YOUR LIFE.

FIVE HEALTHY RULES ON    REFLECTING

Let’s get back on course, to set Five Healthy Rules that are needed in the process of reflecting on one self.

  1. Don’t compare yourself with others ( a better you doesn’t necessarily mean better than them)
  2. Designate specific times for reflecting ( don’t overdo it too much of judging yourself is also not healthy)
  3. Be in a happy state of mind (the purpose of reflecting is to see if change has to be made, and find solutions for change. If you are in a sad state of mind your observations and analysis cannot be fully trusted)
  4. Have an open ear to what your spouse and friends tell you ( it is sometimes hard to accept but they are not as prejudice as you are to see the truths on how you act)
  5. Believe in yourself, that you are special and you will be able to achieve any change you desire ( by believing you will find the solution and spirit to make change will give some oxygen for your brain to be able to think constructively and creatively)

So I think you’re all set so on your marks get ready and go for it, listen to that voice that is screaming out of your depth of your soul asking for that change and a time will come and you will look back happily  a and say I remember when change came into my life.

Like always I look forward to hearing back from you by leaving a comment or emailing me
Wishing you success

How Do You Know If You Have Talent?

Greetings Everyone,

(you can sign up on top of the page to receive updates by email)

Do you know the feeling when you see something amazing and astonishing and your jaw drops in awe and wonder and your heart palpitates in excitement.
As the  time you went to visit the grand canyon and the Niagara falls, as you were gazing at the falls, your mind was feverishly trying to comprehend  this great wonder of  greatness and power.

Well I can honestly say when I finished these two books
  • The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D Wattles
  • Think and Grow Rich By Napoleon Hill

While reading their words I felt their energy and the scope of their knowledge seeping through the words. I felt some kind of excitement surging through my veins somehow like I was being shared some privileged and secret information from someone that uncovered this hidden secret and was willing to share it with me.

Now this feeling overwhelmed and excited me and I started writing this blog but now after getting through the first few lines I’m at a standstill thinking to myself, what message do I want to share with you guys that is worth wasting your time reading about.

(Cough clearing my throat) well for one, I’m trying to recommend you to read these two books I think their message is strong and clear and can still change your life around even in these times and age.

But the next point that I would like to share with you is, that I realized that you can’t deny the genius that you find some people have.
In society all through the years there are these people that are gifted with special talents, that were given to them, to share and lighten up the world and make it a better and exciting place for all the rest of us.

But what is known but not a recognized by all, is the fact that with all the talent in the world, a lot of hard work and commitment is needed in order to reach their full potential and be appreciated by the world for all the talent they have.

Let’s take for example Napoleon Hill, while reading his book and you wonder at his greatness in defining the steps of getting rich, but one major point can be overlooked, that this book was his commitment of hard work of more than twenty years analyzing and studying the subject.

Now one more thing that a lot of average people miss out, how much talent is hidden and not revealed, and the talent shows airing these days only reinforce this point.

Every day new talent is found in all areas of the world even between the homeless, by those searching for it, but mostly is in the entertainment sector but in all other areas of life the raw talent gets buried and forgotten.

And now to the last but most important, and I cannot emphasis about this enough. Most of you out there if you consider yourself average, feel that your life is destined to be one of lack of happiness, lack of achievement, a life of struggle never accomplishing the most basic of your desires, lack of achieving something special.

Wattles writes in his book these wondrous words.

Chapter 13, desire is a manifestation of power. Where there is no power either developed or undeveloped to do a thing there is never any desire to do that thing, and where there is a strong desire to do a thing, it is certain proof that the power to do is strong, and only requires to be developed and applied in the right way.

If you feel any desire to accomplish any goal or achievement that is a true sign that you have the power to achieve it as well. But this power is hidden a lot of times due to a lot of reasons the most common are,

  •  Lack of belief in yourself
  • Not making a plan
  • Feeling unworthy

These feelings of wanting change or the feeling that  you would like to achieve something in your life, are the signs that you are really destined for something else something better, and within you it is buried the talent and the power to achieve them, but you have to be able to bring forth the true you.

You have to be able to nurture your true self and like a little seed and plant, nurture and water and trim the leaves to slowly bring out its beauty for all to see, all this effort is especially worth and needed in order you shouldn't deprive yourself to be awed by your own beauty and greatness.

Let me recapitulate about this subject of talent,
  1.  There are natural gifted people that their talent shines out for all to see
  2.  Gifted people that their talent remains hidden from the world to see and appreciate
  3.  Gifted people that their talent is even hidden from themselves that even they don’t appreciate what they have in themselves

Whichever of these three categories you find yourself know and understand this, commit and believe in yourself, understand that you are unique and special, and start polishing yourself to add some sunshine to your surroundings, work on perfecting yourself that will make those around say wow where did this beauty and talent come from.

Well good luck to developing and growing your talent and as always I would love to hear back from you with any comments you might have, and if you enjoyed this blog please share it with your friends.

Warmly
Pinny
