Greetings Everyone,
(if you enjoy this post please spread the word and share it with your friends)
You all know the classic children’s book Snow White and the seven dwarfs and the queen looking in to
the mirror and saying mirror mirror on the wall who is the fairest one of all and we all know what this led to.
I probably heard this
story hundreds of times( I have a little confession to make I still enjoy reading the children books ) but I don’t remember hearing any moral to the story I was so
wrapped up in the excitement of the story.
But the time has come to take responsibility and find
meaning in life, and I believe that there is a message hidden in all that
happens around us waiting to be discovered and learned.
When looking in to the mirror who you are expecting to see?
is it your next door neighbor, or is it your class mate that you always envied
their popularity in the school or is it the humble you .
The use of a mirror is reflecting and is one
of great importance, its purpose is to reflect back to you, your appearance and
give you the ability to beautify and better yourself, but like everything in this world, it
can be used for good and vice versa let me explain.
There are times that when reflecting about yourself can
actual be to your detriment. Here are the following examples,

Constant reflection
Gazing upon yourself is from the greatest pleasures in the
world. There is no one closer to yourself than you alone; there is no one that
loves you more than you yourself.
When observing yourself while gazing at your
features in the reflection of the mirror, don’t you feel that feeling of love
bouncing from your eyes to the mirror and back? Don’t you just enjoy talking to
yourself while looking at yourself in the mirror?
To reflect on one self and examine your
actions if they are in line with your goals and beliefs, is a great and
sanctified attribute and is probably from the first steps you should take in
your voyage of life.
As Jim Rohn used to say the first of five pieces of the puzzle in life is having a PHILOSOPHY.
Philosophy In dictionary.com- the rational investigation of the truths and principles of being, knowledge, or conduct.
TO HAVE A PHILOSOPHY, YOU WILL NEED TIME TO THINK, FOCUS AND REFLECT ON THE
HAPPENINGS AND ACTIONS OF YOUR LIFE.
FIVE HEALTHY RULES ON REFLECTING
Let’s get back on course, to set Five Healthy Rules that are
needed in the process of reflecting on one self.
- Don’t compare yourself with others ( a better you doesn’t necessarily mean better than them)
- Designate specific times for reflecting ( don’t overdo it too much of judging yourself is also not healthy)
- Be in a happy state of mind (the purpose of reflecting is to see if change has to be made, and find solutions for change. If you are in a sad state of mind your observations and analysis cannot be fully trusted)
- Have an open ear to what your spouse and friends tell you ( it is sometimes hard to accept but they are not as prejudice as you are to see the truths on how you act)
- Believe in yourself, that you are special and you will be able to achieve any change you desire ( by believing you will find the solution and spirit to make change will give some oxygen for your brain to be able to think constructively and creatively)
So I think you’re all set so on your marks get ready and
go for it, listen to that voice that is screaming out of your depth of your
soul asking for that change and a time will come and you will look back happily
a and say I remember when change came
into my life.
Like always I look forward to hearing back from you by
leaving a comment or emailing me
Wishing you success
