Is The Devil And The Paradigm One?

Greetings Friends,

I was schmoozing with my friend Perry about the power of the self-image and the subconscious mind.

Science and Psychology narrowed down the primary cause to a person’s failure or success is due to their self-image.

It’s basically we are controlled by our habits and our self -image dictates our actions. And so the simple answer to the question how can I change my life around and achieve more success?  How come even though I know what I’m supposed to be doing but I still don’t do it?

The solution, change your paradigms and change your self-image of how you view yourself and then your actions will change.  To learn more about this check out this you tube clip of bob proctor explaining this in great detail http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlRpoAhFVnA

Perry challenged me to a great question are you forgetting about the evil inclination and the devil, are you taking all the blame off the devil and cronies and saying it’s basically our self- image is the one controlling us?

Great question well in truth, it’s worth taking the time to think about it and elaborating on it as well.

Here is my view and understanding on this subject.

We humans being are the highest intelligence on this universe. We were placed here for a higher purpose to do forms of good on this world. We were gifted with special mind faculties higher than all forms of life in order to reach this objective.

These great tools includes
  1.   Imagination
  2. Intuition
  3.  Memory
  4. Perception
  5.  Reason
  6. Will
(This is not the place
to elaborate on these special gifts)

The evil inclination objective is to get the person to self-destruct and not live a purpose full life of goodness and kindness and there is two ways how to get the job done.

The evil inclination does not approach a person in its real scary form, it usually comes disguised  in other people or objects so it wouldn’t be recognized.

There are two distractions facing a human, One an external one and the second an internal one.

The external one is something out side of the person trying to influence them to a certain direction.

This can be in the form of other people trying to get the person to do bad things hence gangs, bad friends, etc;

But there is a second tool in the evil inclination tool box, and this a hidden one, it’s hidden in the human themselves it’s called the paradigm.

A paradigm is basically a multiple of habits or ideas that were implanted in your subconscious mind and thereby controls your actions.

The most vulnerable time for a human to implant these habits are when we are young as children. The reason is, since the  filtering device that scans and protects what is planted in the subconscious mind is the conscious mind.
When we are young as children, our conscious mind is not yet developed completely so the subconscious part of the mind is exposed and vulnerable.
That is why at a young age our subconscious is programed with all kind of behaviors that are not necessarily in tune to our true nature. In addition any of the bad habits those around us posses becomes part of their habits as well.

This is all part of a great plan for each and every one of us. This world does not really reward satisfaction to those who didn’t earn it, only those who put in the effort, overcame obstacles to achieve whatever their heart desires those find and appreciate the real satisfactions of life.

By having our paradigms affected without us being able to interfere, causes us the need to overcome all these previous installed paradigms and start new beautiful healthy ideas and habits. Then when we achieve those goals and achievements only then have we really achieved our potential and purpose.

Let’s bring this all together, paradigms are another form of the devil, but one difference this devil can be overturned and changed into an angel.

From being programed with a virus paradigms so to speak, we can  reprogram and clean out the virus and pronto we have a program that can accomplish anything.

I hope this gave you a different perspective on this subject, now go ahead and create that beautiful self image that will influence your action and behaviors, so you can reach the goals and dreams you always wished for.

Wishing you success

Deciphering the message of Death

Greetings Everyone,

( This is my 5th speech at Toastmasters I hope you enjoy it)

This month we had a sudden tragedy with the sudden passing of a 55 years old man an acquaintance of mine. Just a few hours before this person was leading a normal life and suddenly without warning he was taken away from us.
The pain is indescribable for the family members and all those close to him are in a state of shock.

Such a tragedy has the power to jolt a person back to reality that we are all here for a certain period of time and the end of that time can come without notice.
True in most circumstances there is some warning that trouble lies ahead, but that doesn’t change the outcome that we are all born with a time watch ticking in our hands.

Now I’m always struggling with the subject of death and how people react to terrible news or tragedy.

Sometimes the indifference of people, even while standing at a funeral they seem not to see the seriousness of the minute and can’t seem to stop cracking jokes and talking.
On the other hand there are those who cannot stop crying and they can’t seem to continue to function properly .

So I sat down to decipher and to understand is there a secret message that death and tragedy is trying to convey.

Now I’m going to read your minds, is Pinny a rabbi? is he now going to give a sermon about going to heaven? no guys my passion is helping average people reach their true potential and I felt this issue needs to be discussed, especially in this day and age almost all the breaking news has some story of tragedy or grief, and basically one of two things happen.

  1.  We become immune to real sadness that is happening around us
  2.  Our lives or full of sadness and negativity and this could be the reason 95% of us don’t reach even close to their full potential

Well for starters, our emotions are powerful and very important, joy, sadness, happiness, grief all of these affect the complete person, that’s why when a person experiences great joy or sadness it’s common to express the feeling by putting a hand on the heart because these emotions are felt through the whole body.

That’s why a lesson we receive while we’re in a very emotional state leave their marks on very deep level,

So if we can take this message of tragedy sadness and turn in to a message of hope and inspiration how wonderful would that be.

I will list a bunch of points the message of death is trying to convey

  •   It's reminding you to watch on your health
  • To look and see if there is anything in the deceased  that you would like to emulate or What don't  you want to emulate
  • Life is short, make use of the time you have to make a difference
Death is a time of contemplation, thought and evaluation, it is a time to be reborn, a time to better our life so when our time comes it will find us complete and content and proud of our venture in this world.
So next time you turn on the news and hear the next tragedy, take out your magic wand and turn that unfortunate situation into one of hope and inspiration and the tragedy wouldn’t have been in vain.
all the best

The First Step to Freedom Of Choice and Change

Greetings everyone,

I would like to share with you all my third speech in toastmasters and if you are inspired by what you read please click the buttons to share it with your friends.

Me the pigeon and the train

Good evening Mr. Toastmaster fellow toastmaster and most welcome guests

Before I begin, I don't want the title to be misleading so let me clarify what this speech is about.

This speech is not about me jumping in front of a speeding train to save my pet pigeon, this speech is about FREEDOM of CHOICE and CHANGE

The freedom of choosing what our heart desires, the freedom choice to decide how we want our destiny to be and to those struggling with freedom of choice I will give the first step that’s needed in order to develop your gift of freedom.
Now my request to all of you that are taking notes, please stop and put your pens down and just let my words carve themselves in to your hearts.

It started one morning waiting for the train, sitting there in the cold rubbing my hands, I observed a pigeon making the platform his own.,walking along pecking the ground for food.

Staring at the pigeon a thought of jealousy popped into my head, wow what freedom this pigeon has, I don't see any lines of worry on its forehead or fright on its face where it will find the next meal. No rules no limits it can fly wherever it pleases.

But then the rational part of my brain voiced its opinion, and reminded me what the sweet and great business philosopher Jim Rohn said,
we humans are the only creature of choice all the other forms of life live a living of instinct,
for example which way do the birds fly in the winter? South, a bird cannot wake up in the morning and say neh don't want to travel south this winter I think I'll check myself into the Holiday Inn in the north.

That is the beauty of freedom of choice, we can change the course of life we have been pursuing and make a 360 degree turn and pursue a completely different course of interest.

  • We can change our opinions
  • We can change our lifestyles
  •  we can change our friends
  • We can change our philosophy

But I have one slight little problem with what I shared with you all, and I'm sure you can relate to me.  There are times during our lives that we bump into situations that we feel are beyond our choice, now I don't mean serious health issues, I mean the standard struggles of life,

  • the one struggling to lose weight
  • the struggle to achieve success
  • the struggle to overcome a bad habit
Basically any challenge that needs to be overcome

Ladies and gentleman I uncovered an important ingredient, the ingredient that’s needed so we  can take advantage of the gift that was  bestowed upon us, the freedom of choice and change.

The power to choose and commit to what you have chosen, all boils down to one word RESPECT.

When making the decision to choose , choosing to lose weight than being overweight, choosing to come here instead of just sitting at home on the recliner, choosing to do something that will take effort on your part to keep, will depend on how much respect you have to the one making the decision.
When your power of choice and change  is challenged,  you decide to do one way but can't seem to keep it more than for more than a short period of time, could be, somehow yourself respect has diminished over the years and therefore you do not respect the choices you make, you look upon yourself with disrespect because of the failings you have.

Let me give you a different scenario to explain this concept better.

When there are a group of people sharing a conversation and one person voices his opinion and no one seems to listen, then a second person says the same thing and everyone bends over to listen, what is the difference between these two people voicing their opinions?

The respect what the audience has for one over the other.

As long as you regard yourself with a feeling of disrespect and lack of love then the power of change will elude you.

What is your reaction when you see your friend or loved one failing? If you're a real friend you will reach out with support and encouragement why? Because you love them you see what’s special about them so why do we treat ourselves with less respect and love than we deserve?

Do this exercise

Go to the mirror and look yourself in the eye, and give yourself that special look of love and fondness let your eyes do the talking, look upon yourself with eyes of admiration and awe of what a wonderful and phenomenal individual you are .

Let your heart be soaked in the feeling that with all your failings you are still unique and special. Let your ears hear you sing passionately and with excitement I'm special, I'm unique, I'm amazing. Maybe even add a little twirl and dance while singing these wonderful words out of your mouth.

The minute you find real respect and acceptance in your own eyes you will find the power of choice and change will be within your grasp.

best wishes and I look forward to hearing your comments below

Book Challenge Review Thoughts Vibrations

Hi Everyone,

(This is a transcript of one of my you tube clips I posted, here is the link http://youtu.be/h_7Ln5XOrNI )

I put myself to a challenge how many self help books I can read this year. This is book number 2 on my list for this challenge and I figured why not share with you all a bit what I most enjoyed about each book since each book has its strong points and maybe it will be an inspiration to you all, to read up as well.

As Jim Rohn said – we are in a phenomenal era a time that knowledge and education are at our fingertips
This review is about a book by William walker Atkinson called Thought vibration  I was presented this book by one of Joe vitale programs it is a book on the law of attraction it’s a small book less than 100 pages.

Just a small point to those that don’t believe in the power of the law of attraction. I personally feel that there is always something that you can learn from everyone, even those that you don't agree with.
As the saying goes you can learn from everyone, some you learn what yes to do and some you learn what you shouldn't be doing.
What I love about the law of attraction, is the message of positivity that comes along with it and it resonated very well with me.
Even though anyone that studied the rules of success knows and  understands the power of being positive, but  a negative person usually finds it hard to accept the view of positivity.

The law of attractions message of positivity comes wrapped in a magic wrapping that entrances the imagination and thereby makes it easier to accept and see the beauty of being a positive person.

My goal with these video clips is to share what I enjoyed the most of the books I read, but in truth since we humans are in constant change every time you reread a book you can find new points that may excite you the second time around that didn't make such an impression on you the first time when you read it.

What I liked about this book was the distinct message I felt that the author stresses and describes throughout the book.
Who your real self is and that’s the inside feeling of your inner self  and how your body is similar to a kingdom and your inner and true you is the king and emotions and feelings are like the servants that are trying to take over the kingdom, and he empowers your inner you to take control of your life and be the one in power.
My imagination  easily followed along his description how our feelings and emotions have taken control of us and how if we want can take back control .

Let me read you some short parts of chapter 4

They assert the “I” and compel obedience from the subordinate mental faculties.

The I is the sovereign of the mind.

Later on in the chapter, think of man being the slave of his moods, passions, animal appetites and lower facilities.

It is only when the” I” mounts his throne and lifts the scepter that order is established and things assume their proper relation to each other.

Orders must be given and carried out. Rebellion bust be put down and the rightful authority insisted upon .

Good luck and keep a lookout for  review of book number 3 in my book challenge list

The length of a minute and How to maximize a minute

Greetings everyone this is my second speech in Toastmasters and I would like to share it with you all

I’m sure you are all thinking what in the world is he talking about, who doesn't know how long a minute is?

Well you are right to some extent but I'm confident that the points I will be discussing tonight will bring a new light and understanding to the true length and power of a single minute.

It was a few years back during a lecture in high school which usually took an hour. Sitting there twiddling my fingers I observed the clock on the wall going tick tock tick tock and I realized that a minute was simply 60 short seconds. I made this simple genius deduction that an hour shouldn’t be such a long time; it’s merely 60 full turns of 60 seconds each. So why does this lecture feel like torture like I have been sitting here a life time? This story gave me a glimpse how a minute can feel like eternity.

Another time that I had a different insight to the length of a minute, was one night when I was putting my little one to sleep and after the usual cover me, the goodnight kiss, bathroom run and it’s too hot and it’s too cold, she finally settled down.

I sat down to relax a bit reading a book ,as I got comfortable I hear that little voice saying daddy I need a drink, and I answered ok honey I'll be there in a minute and I continued reading.  Suddenly I feel something tugging at my shirt I look up startled and see my little one is standing near me and saying daddy is it a minute already?  I look on the watch and I see ten minutes have passed, wow that minute really felt like a split second.

True a minute is just short sixty seconds but our emotions distort the actual shortness of the minute making it feel sometimes long as an hour and sometimes short as a split second.

Why this concept is important to understand is simple

The value of a minute is indescribable; what can be done and accomplished in a short amount of time is astonishing, my beloved sales coach chuck Bauer in his book sales mastery writes, the preferred listenable rate of speech is between in 140 and 160 words a minute.

Wow 140 -160 words a minute how much encouragement and how much hurt can we cause with just one minute of talking?

The fact of the matter is, there is an endless amounts of things that we would like to do or achieve, that really wouldn't take up a lot of our time, but this emotional distortion of the length of a minute makes it feel like a huge and long task and encumbers us in doing it.

Let me give you an example to clarify a bit more what I'm saying

Example number 1

How many of you travel on the NJ palisades? Well I'm not a big traveler but on an average I travel the palisades around twenty times a year. Now on the route there is three times a chance to exit right off the highway and view the scenic view.

Every time a pass the signs notifying about the scenic view I say to myself I wish I could just stop for a minute I love looking at scenic views but I don’t,  simply because I feel that I don't have the time, I don’t have five minutes to do something I enjoy?

Example number 2

Working out, my life structure isn't setup for major work outs, so I decided to take a few minutes each night to make a short work out before I go to sleep now we are talking about maybe five minutes a few push ups, sit ups etc but the amount of reasons that I give myself not to do it are laughable, but I a lot has to do by me taking the five minutes and blowing it out of proportion.

By simply calculating and realizing that all that’s needed is a few minutes and seeing how fast a minute passes has made it a lot easier to commit to do it.

Take a breath and stop a minute to think over your life and your day. Think of the small and seemingly insignificant things that are always passing through your mind that you should do, or you would like to do it, but always feel you don't have the time

  •  The phone call to your parents to keep in touch  (even five minutes will do)
  • The little something for your loved one to show that the spark of love has not been extinguished
  •  Road rage giving the other car a few extra seconds before you explode
  •   Putting a little time each day to further and broaden your education can make a huge difference,

Take the time it takes to accomplish the task and put it in the right short minute perspective and it will be easier to do.

Do this and you will find a new world out there in front of you, change that you couldn't imagine, will be right within your grasp, coming to work in smiles each day after a relaxing drive, beautiful flowers and scenery all over the streets just waiting for you to stop and admire them.

wishing you the best if you enjoyed this post please share this with your friends

Mirror Mirror On the Wall - 5 Rules To Healthy Reflecting

Greetings Everyone,

(if you enjoy this post  please  spread the word and share it with your friends)

You all know the classic children’s book Snow White and the seven dwarfs and the queen looking in to the mirror and saying mirror mirror on the wall who is the fairest one of all and we all know what this led to.

I probably heard this story hundreds of times( I have a little confession to make I still enjoy  reading  the children books ) but I don’t remember  hearing any moral to the story I was so wrapped up in the excitement of the story.

But the time has come to take responsibility and find meaning in life, and I believe that there is a message hidden in all that happens around us waiting to be discovered and learned.

When looking in to the mirror who you are expecting to see? is it your next door neighbor, or is it your class mate that you always envied their popularity in the school or is it the humble you .

The use of a mirror is reflecting  and is  one of great importance, its purpose is to reflect back to you, your appearance and give you the ability to beautify and better yourself, but like everything in this world, it can be used for good and vice versa let me explain.

There are times that when reflecting about yourself can actual be to your detriment. Here are the following examples,

©       Comparing yourself to other people
©       Extensive self criticitzim
©       Constant reflection

Gazing upon yourself is from the greatest pleasures in the world. There is no one closer to yourself than you alone; there is no one that loves you more than you yourself.

When observing yourself while gazing at your features in the reflection of the mirror, don’t you feel that feeling of love bouncing from your eyes to the mirror and back? Don’t you just enjoy talking to yourself while looking at yourself in the mirror?

To reflect on one self and examine your actions if they are in line with your goals and beliefs, is a great and sanctified attribute and is probably from the first steps you should take in your voyage of life.

As Jim Rohn used to say the first of five pieces of the puzzle in life is having a PHILOSOPHY.
Philosophy In dictionary.com- the rational investigation of the truths and principles of being, knowledge, or conduct.

TO HAVE A PHILOSOPHY, YOU WILL NEED TIME TO THINK, FOCUS AND REFLECT ON THE HAPPENINGS AND ACTIONS OF YOUR LIFE.

FIVE HEALTHY RULES ON    REFLECTING

Let’s get back on course, to set Five Healthy Rules that are needed in the process of reflecting on one self.

  1. Don’t compare yourself with others ( a better you doesn’t necessarily mean better than them)
  2. Designate specific times for reflecting ( don’t overdo it too much of judging yourself is also not healthy)
  3. Be in a happy state of mind (the purpose of reflecting is to see if change has to be made, and find solutions for change. If you are in a sad state of mind your observations and analysis cannot be fully trusted)
  4. Have an open ear to what your spouse and friends tell you ( it is sometimes hard to accept but they are not as prejudice as you are to see the truths on how you act)
  5. Believe in yourself, that you are special and you will be able to achieve any change you desire ( by believing you will find the solution and spirit to make change will give some oxygen for your brain to be able to think constructively and creatively)

So I think you’re all set so on your marks get ready and go for it, listen to that voice that is screaming out of your depth of your soul asking for that change and a time will come and you will look back happily  a and say I remember when change came into my life.

Like always I look forward to hearing back from you by leaving a comment or emailing me
Wishing you success

How Do You Know If You Have Talent?

Greetings Everyone,

(you can sign up on top of the page to receive updates by email)

Do you know the feeling when you see something amazing and astonishing and your jaw drops in awe and wonder and your heart palpitates in excitement.
As the  time you went to visit the grand canyon and the Niagara falls, as you were gazing at the falls, your mind was feverishly trying to comprehend  this great wonder of  greatness and power.

Well I can honestly say when I finished these two books
  • The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D Wattles
  • Think and Grow Rich By Napoleon Hill

While reading their words I felt their energy and the scope of their knowledge seeping through the words. I felt some kind of excitement surging through my veins somehow like I was being shared some privileged and secret information from someone that uncovered this hidden secret and was willing to share it with me.

Now this feeling overwhelmed and excited me and I started writing this blog but now after getting through the first few lines I’m at a standstill thinking to myself, what message do I want to share with you guys that is worth wasting your time reading about.

(Cough clearing my throat) well for one, I’m trying to recommend you to read these two books I think their message is strong and clear and can still change your life around even in these times and age.

But the next point that I would like to share with you is, that I realized that you can’t deny the genius that you find some people have.
In society all through the years there are these people that are gifted with special talents, that were given to them, to share and lighten up the world and make it a better and exciting place for all the rest of us.

But what is known but not a recognized by all, is the fact that with all the talent in the world, a lot of hard work and commitment is needed in order to reach their full potential and be appreciated by the world for all the talent they have.

Let’s take for example Napoleon Hill, while reading his book and you wonder at his greatness in defining the steps of getting rich, but one major point can be overlooked, that this book was his commitment of hard work of more than twenty years analyzing and studying the subject.

Now one more thing that a lot of average people miss out, how much talent is hidden and not revealed, and the talent shows airing these days only reinforce this point.

Every day new talent is found in all areas of the world even between the homeless, by those searching for it, but mostly is in the entertainment sector but in all other areas of life the raw talent gets buried and forgotten.

And now to the last but most important, and I cannot emphasis about this enough. Most of you out there if you consider yourself average, feel that your life is destined to be one of lack of happiness, lack of achievement, a life of struggle never accomplishing the most basic of your desires, lack of achieving something special.

Wattles writes in his book these wondrous words.

Chapter 13, desire is a manifestation of power. Where there is no power either developed or undeveloped to do a thing there is never any desire to do that thing, and where there is a strong desire to do a thing, it is certain proof that the power to do is strong, and only requires to be developed and applied in the right way.

If you feel any desire to accomplish any goal or achievement that is a true sign that you have the power to achieve it as well. But this power is hidden a lot of times due to a lot of reasons the most common are,

  •  Lack of belief in yourself
  • Not making a plan
  • Feeling unworthy

These feelings of wanting change or the feeling that  you would like to achieve something in your life, are the signs that you are really destined for something else something better, and within you it is buried the talent and the power to achieve them, but you have to be able to bring forth the true you.

You have to be able to nurture your true self and like a little seed and plant, nurture and water and trim the leaves to slowly bring out its beauty for all to see, all this effort is especially worth and needed in order you shouldn't deprive yourself to be awed by your own beauty and greatness.

Let me recapitulate about this subject of talent,
  1.  There are natural gifted people that their talent shines out for all to see
  2.  Gifted people that their talent remains hidden from the world to see and appreciate
  3.  Gifted people that their talent is even hidden from themselves that even they don’t appreciate what they have in themselves

Whichever of these three categories you find yourself know and understand this, commit and believe in yourself, understand that you are unique and special, and start polishing yourself to add some sunshine to your surroundings, work on perfecting yourself that will make those around say wow where did this beauty and talent come from.

Well good luck to developing and growing your talent and as always I would love to hear back from you with any comments you might have, and if you enjoyed this blog please share it with your friends.

Warmly
Pinny
